Top 5 Indian Wedding Flowers

Flowers have a very special place in Indian weddings and that’s because not only do they enhance the overall wedding décor, but they are also believed to be harbingers of luck and fortune. That could be one reason why flowers are often part of a bride’s and groom’s wedding wear too. For instance, it’s not uncommon for grooms to have a flower tucked in a pocket or for brides to wear strands of flowers in their hair. Children or bridesmaids too can often be spotted holding little bouquets or baskets of flowers in their hands. In this article, we take a look at the most popular Indian wedding flowers used across the country:

Marigold

One look at this brightly coloured flower that’s available in both orange and gold and one can understand why it’s believed that marigold radiate positive energy. An aesthetic must at Hindu weddings, strands of marigold can often be seen at the entrance of the wedding venue and in the mandaap. They are also believed to be a representative of the sun.

Jasmine

These little flowers which can be spotted anywhere thanks to the sweet subtle fragrance that they exude are a must at any South Indian Hindu wedding. They are considered to bring good luck and are a sign of good fortune too. Besides being used as a part of the décor, these Indian wedding flowers are also worn in the bride’s hair. The pristine white colour also signifies purity.

Orchids

Once considered exotic and foreign, orchids in various shades can be spotted at wedding receptions and also at Christian weddings. When used to create a table arrangement display, white orchids are usually paired with orchids of a deeper shade like purple or magenta to create a beautiful contrast. These Indian wedding flowers are believed to convey a sense of support and undying devotion between the bride and groom.

Roses

indian wedding flowers

Another favourite at Indian weddings, roses in all hues can often be spotted at wedding venues. Pink roses denote happiness, white roses stand for purity whereas red roses symbolizes love. Bouquets of red roses are usually carried by brides especially in Christian weddings. Red petals are also showered on the newlywed couple during and after the wedding ceremony. Their sweet smell which lasts longer than most other fragrant flowers makes them a staple with most wedding planners too.

Carnations

indian wedding flowers

Carnations are often used in mixed bouquets along with other flowers like roses or tulips. These pastel coloured Indian wedding flowers which look like bunched up tissue paper can last long and are very pretty. They are often used in bridal bouquets along with leaves and foliage or in a centrepiece flower arrangement.

5 Wedding Costs You Probably Didn’t Anticipate

$

Not many couples and wedding families are able to stick to their wedding budget. Most families, a year before the wedding, decide upon wedding costs and possible expenses . However, once the celebrations come to an end, they realise that the actual expenses have overshot the budget by a huge margin. Depending upon the circumstances, this excess amount can be anything from a few thousand to lakhs of rupees. If you are soon going to tie the knot, the last thing you’d want is overspending on your wedding. While having a lavish wedding is not a sin, ending up broke after the wedding is not a wise choice either. So we are presenting some wedding costs you probably did not anticipate…

5 surprise wedding costs which can overthrow your wedding budget

1. Wedding dresses for various occasions

Of course, you have set a budget for wedding designer attires. But what about those innumerable alterations? Those visits to your favourite tailor or designer until the blouse or the lehenga fits perfectly? All these visits and alternations add up to your wedding expenditures. Also have you purchased dresses for all pre an post wedding events? You will need saris, lehengas and suits for different ceremonies. One might also need to gift these to the in-laws. In India, these expenses are usually borne by the girl’s family.

2. Tips to vendors

One wedding, hundreds of vendors. And it’s customary to give some tips to all of them as an expression of gratitude. Better the service, higher would be the tips. But as the amounts start accumulating, it becomes quite a big cost which is usually totally unplanned.

3. Taxes and GST

Taxes are like those forgotten relatives who appear uninvited and stay for a long time. When people calculate wedding costs, they often forget to include the tax. Consider yourself way wiser than others if you have already taken this factor into consideration. Moreover, now you have to pay GST on everything as well.unplanned wedding costs

4. Meals for vendors and other help

There will be vendors such as your photographers, MUA, entertainers, people in charge of music and lighting, those who serve foods and drinks to guests etc. Then there will be your domestic help like driver, watchmen, maids, cook and so on without whom a wedding can never be successful. You also have to arrange for meals for them throughout the day. So do not forget to make a list of all these vendors and calculate total amount of the meals.

5. Venue check-ins and check-outs

One of the common mistakes brides and grooms often make is that they forget about the check-in and check-out times while booking the venue and rooms for guests. This error can easily double up their cost of booking. You need time before and after the exact dates to move in and out. Therefore, it’s always better to book a day before and after the actual date to avoid pre and post-wedding rush for vacating the venue.

Evidently, these little factors  can go unplanned and could wreak havoc in your budget after the celebration. Each one might seem insignificant, but, when anticipated beforehand, can save you tons of money.

5 Winter Bridal Beauty Tips For You

Winter is upon us again and a new year is almost upon us. Of course, it’s also the time to indulge in warm gajar ka halwa and enjoy longer snoozes, but what does this season mean for brides- to- be, in particular? Every season sees its own fair share of bridal trends and this winter, bridal makeup is walking a whole different path. So, what should are the winter bridal beauty tips that you as a bride-to-be do to ensure should be aware of? We list our top 5 favourites:

1. Be consistent with your skin care routine

winter bridal beauty tips

If you thought that cleansing, toning and moisturising were only meant for the summer, you couldn’t be more wrong. It’s very important to go the extra mile to ensure that your skin keeps smiling this winter and that means getting enough sleep, removing any makeup before bed, cutting down sugar & salt intake and yes- drinking plenty of warm water flavoured with lemon. Want good skin each morning? Then a branded skin repair cream is the answer on our winter bridal beauty tips list.

2. Maintain those brows

winter bridal beauty tips

Bushy unkempt brows were trending many years back and although we don’t recommend skipping your beauty parlour appointment and appearing messy on your wedding day, what we do recommend is to understand the importance of your eyebrows for an overall gorgeous look. Here’s what you need for the ultimate brows- gel to keep flyaways in place and for a neat look, an eyebrow pencil to fill in any gaps and an angle brush which seamlessly blends in any eyebrow pencil colour.

3. Go for statement eyes

winter bridal beauty tips

Wearing just kajal and eyeliner is passe when it comes to winter weddings this season. Now is the time to experiment with eye shadow in shades like beige, silver, platinum or champagne shades. In fact, if you can wear these shades with a touch of glitter, your eyes will sparkle for all the right reasons. Besides, our winter bridal beauty tips say that there’s a right way to wear eye makeup even if you don’t have ‘big’ eyes.

4. Wear the right colours

winter bridal beauty tips

Sure a lot of trends in shades come and go, but if it doesn’t work on you then don’t lose sleep over it. The manner in which you wear your makeup for all your ceremonies has everything to do with how well your skin is prepared for it. By using two drops of skin oil on your skin before priming, you ensure that the harsh chemicals used in makeup do not strip away your skin’s natural oils and make it drier. When it comes to lipsticks, do remember the golden rule- rose red and burgundy make a bride with dusky tones sexy whereas corals and lighter pop shades look gorgeous on fair tones.

5. Don’t forget hair accessories

winter bridal beauty tips

Wearing flowers is in and instead of the big oversized hair ornaments that were popular with the earlier generation, scattered blossoms are in. In fact, messy hair is in as long as it still looks stylish. So, if you want your blooms to get noticed, all you have to do is wear your hair in a bun, pull out a few strands and then pin a few fresh flowers on. More elaborate hairdos should have a few gaps so that the flowers will be visible.

Vegan Wedding- 6 Tips You Should Know

$

Veganism is often confused with vegetarianism but the two are completely different terms. Vegetarians do not abstain from consuming dairy or animal products as long as it doesn’t include consumption of meat. Vegans on the other hand, abstain from dairy products of any kind as well as meat products. The world over, veganism has begun to spring up in diets because veganism as such has been linked to overall better health for the individual. Vegans often report having more energy, less acne problems, fewer digestive problems and have glowing skin too. So what does veganism have to do with Indian weddings, you may ask? Well, vegan weddings are trending in a slow but steady manner all across the country as couples advocate greener weddings which serve healthier alternatives to regular wedding cuisine. Here are our top 6 tips for planning a vegan wedding:

Invitations

vegan wedding

Image courtesy Oh So Beautiful Paper

Vegan weddings encourage going green and a good way to let your guests know the theme of your wedding would be by getting your invitations printed on recycled paper or on seed paper. Seed paper can actually be planted in a pot and serves as a great souvenir of your wedding.

Clothing

vegan wedding

A vegan wedding means saying no to silk, wool, leather, fur or any other animal based product. But don’t despair- there are plenty of great wedding wear options you can find in material substitutes like cotton, chiffon and polyester. In fact, you’ll find that besides getting great designs in such materials, you also get to save a lot of money which would have otherwise been spent on one-time wear.

Jewellery

vegan wedding

Vegan brides stay away from wearing pearls and unethically sourced diamonds. Silver jewellery, black metal jewellery or even beaded jewellery are other good alternatives to consider.

Flowers

vegan wedding

Real cut flowers are rarely spotted at vegan weddings and a good alternative to invest in would be potted plants instead. Potted plants are not only in vogue at weddings right now, but they look very pretty as well and by using different types of plants, it can enhance the feel of the overall ambience of the wedding venue.  Moreover, these plants can also be used as wedding gift favours for the guests. Paper flowers can be used to decorate the mandap and look almost indistinguishable from real flowers.

Catering

vegan wedding

Don’t be under the assumption that a vegan wedding will compromise on taste just because your guests may not be used to it. There are plenty of great recipes available and if you insist on service local fare, you’ll find that many daily ingredients can be substituted with vegan ones. For instance, dairy milk can be replaced with soy milk and snacks like soy chunk fritters can be served in place of chicken nuggets. Talk to your caterer about using such substitutes while putting together the menu and yes, vegan desserts are super yum too.

Favours

vegan wedding

Gift your guests potted plants or look for vegan gifting options on the net such as soy candles, handmade soap bombs or vegan sweet treats. You could also ask your guests to donate money on your behalf to your favourite charity organisation.

Virushka-What Transpired Before The Wedding-Get The Details Here!

Virushka- they are one of the most loved celebrity couples in India today. You’ve seen them waltz together on TV, promote a wedding wear brand with genuine sizzling chemistry, make umpteen public appearances together and in general, be at ease with each other. They’ve stood up for each other in full public glare, taken on trolls together on Twitter and posted plenty of cute couple photos of them relaxing and travelling together. So, their fans can be forgiven for wondering and analysing every single move they have been making over the past few days. We now got the news they are married, but let us take a look at what transpired before that!

From media reports, we now know that both respective families flew to Tuscany for the grand celebration. No one knew the exact date but sources close to the couple knew it would be between December 9- 12th. We now know that the couple tied the knot last night (India time) so the date is 11th December.

Is it Sabyasachi?

virushka

Sabyasachi has always been a much loved talent on Anushka’s list and when he was spotted outside the residential building a few weeks back, it was only natural that speculations were made about the sudden visit. Was it to decide what she would wear for all the ceremonies or was it a bridal wear fitting session- everybody got talking.

The ‘Date’ was decided by the Families

virushka

So, it’s rumoured that Virushka’s ‘wedding date’ was actually decided when the two were on holiday in Sri Lanka. Naturally, the advice of Anushka’s family priest was also sought and it’s believed that he suggested a December wedding. The parents were only too happy to seal matters formally.

Something smells like a Shaadi

virushka

It’s believed that close friends of both Virat and Anushka had already booked their tickets to Milan and the guest list included Virat’s childhood cricket coach. Of course, the cricketer himself opted out of the Test match against Sri Lanka stating that he had personal reasons for doing so. This was enough to fuel the rumours again.

Everyone’s heading to Milan

virushka

Anushka and her family booked tickets to go to Milan via Zurich and her family priest Maharaj Anant Baba also boarded a flight to Europe along with them. Virat is flew to Europe with his family from Delhi.

The Dreamy Location

virushka

The Borgo Finnochieto has a total of 22 bedrooms is a locale that’s straight out from a fairy-tale book. Beautiful laws, lush garden spaces, a huge swimming pool and a gorgeous view of the hills below has played host to many well-known personalities from across the globe. Considering that Anushka once admitted that her ideal location to wed would be a vineyard, it’s no wonder that the Borgo was just the location she wanted for her December wedding. It is said that bhangra dancers were spotted at the vineyard on the morning of December 9th and it’s obvious that a real Punjabi wedding was going to happen soon.

We can now conform that Virushka have wed and are trying to get our hands on the wedding pics too. Rest assured we will be the first ones to present them! Stay tuned!

7 Wedding Trends To Steal From Virushka

$

First this pair gave us all some serious relationship goals (not to forget plenty of awesome Instagram moments from their lives as well) and now with the Virat Kohli- Anushka Sharma wedding having actually happened for real, Virushka have actually set the bar even higher when it comes to wedding planning. For starters, everything about this couple is stylish and so was the wedding. Who would have thought that each and every detail would have us all sighing and swooning and wishing we had thought of it first? So, here you go, the top 7 trends to steal from the Virushka wedding:

Keeping It Really Private

virushka

Virushka gave the word private an altogether different meaning. When they said they were only going to call close friends and family members, who would have thought that less than 50 guests was the figure they had in mind? Which is another food for thought- just because they are celebs, they didn’t feel the need to invite acquaintances or other big names to an intimate ceremony. Rather, celebrating such an occasion with people who undoubtedly are on top of their priority list was all that mattered- and so should it be for you too.

Destination Wedding

virushka

Destination weddings have been trending for some time now and since Virushka chose such a romantic spot for their ceremony, you can bet that getting wed at an exotic locale is only going to be on the rise. We suggest choosing a place that holds some kind of interest for you two or even some special meaning. In this case, Anushka always wanted to get married amidst plenty of greenery or a vineyard and that’s exactly what they went for!

Boho Is In

virushka

If you’ve decided to opt for something traditional to wear for the wedding, then the sangeet or the mehndi function may be the right occasions to experiment with design, colour or style. In this case, Anushka loves hot pink and that’s why Sabyasachi was more than happy to design a boho inspired outfit for her with lavish use of her favourite colours. Colours like orange, fuchsia pink and blue may look garish otherwise but when used in the right way, the outcome can be nothing short of jaw-dropping. Gowns and dresses are cool options to explore too.

Wear Your Favourite Shade

virushka

One would think that wearing fuchsia pink on a wedding lehenga is simply not done but trust Sabyasachi to make the bride happy by giving her a wonderful lehenga chock-full of embroidery which also featured flowers done in her favourite shade. True, red is usually the preferred shade for wedding wear, but just like Virushka, you too should talk to your designer about how he or she can weave in your favourite colour without dampening the look of the garment on the whole.

Use of Lights

virushka

Virushka had a really pretty bulb marquee at their wedding and although one would be tempted to think that this may have been set up for an evening wedding, surprisingly, it was set up during the day. Amidst the lovely bouquets of flowers, the entire setting looked nothing short of ethereal. We wholly recommend the use of fairy lights and bulbs to enhance the setting of any venue.

Experimenting with flowers

virushka

Interestingly, red roses found no place at this romantic wedding venue and instead one found roses in light pink, yellow, mauve and orange which looked so surreal. Instead of going with the usual bouquet choices, mini flower chandeliers and posies help to set the mood of the occasion much better.

Gifting Unique Favours

virushka

No, they didn’t give a wedding favour that you would expect. Instead, Virushka opted for a volume on love poems by Rumi to gift their guests. We think that’s simply lovely and unique, besides of course being a gift that can be genuinely treasured for a lifetime.

We met

We met in 2006 and have been dating for last 12 years!

Our wedding theme/colours

Our wedding theme was all white decor with red LED’s to add that extra effect. It had to be something that adds to the Royal Rajput Wedding. To that effect, we chose traditional red for my lehenga and beige and red for the groom.

I bought my wedding outfit from Asiana Couture, New Delhi and I must say there is no store better than Asiana for you Big Day. They are best in the market and there is absolutely no doubt about it!!

There was a mehendi and cocktail night followed by wedding the next day. Amidst all this we also had Haldi and Choora ceremony which was best time to gel up with the family and of course I got time with my bridesmaids.

We chose our photographer because…

We chose Mohit Arora Productions because we liked his work. Now, after seeing our pictures and teaser videos, I know we made the best decision! Mohit and his team are really a class apart. I believe that the wedding photos are all you have for the rest of your life and the memories captured by Mohit will stay with us forever!

We chose our venue because…

We chose Chancellor Club, Lucknow  because  it was easily accessible for both families and, secondly, I had been visiting this place since childhood (being a club member). So it definitely held lots of memories. Needless to say, it was a perfect choice for both of us!

My favourite part of the wedding day

 indian bride with veil
The wedding day is the most hectic day in a bride’s life, but finding out time amidst that chaos and talking to your husband-to-be is the most special thing. Discussing small details, be it related to outfits or about the rituals, or just  calling to check if s/he has eaten-that is what really matters.

My piece of advice for other brides

Stay hydrated and take some rest before you head out for getting your makeup done.

6 Fun Bachelorette Party Ideas for 2018

When you’re the bridesmaid, planning a fun bachelorette party is one of the most important ‘things to do’ on your list before your best friend’s wedding. But here’s the catch- when it comes to a bachelorette party, every bride has a different take on how it should be. Confused about where to start? Why not think a little harder about what kind of interests the bride to be has and then plan the bachelorette party accordingly? Here goes:

For the Thrill Seeker- Water Sports

bachelorette party

So, the bride to be never says no to a challenge and loves trying anything that gets her adrenaline pumping? Then head to Goa, which is well-known for its water sports activities. From parasailing to jet skiing and water bump rides, she is guaranteed to love every minute.

For the Nature Lover- Head to a Tea Estate

bachelorette party

Now, why would we suggest heading to a resort in a tea-estate when Indian is home to some gorgeous mountain ranges? Simply this- tea estates are usually found in lush green and cool surroundings which means that you wake up to misty mornings, sip freshly brewed tea with a cool breeze blowing and enjoy long nature walks. Munnar in Kerala is our top pick.

For the ‘Love to Chill Out’ Bride- Spa Retreat is the answer

bachelorette party

Why not plan a bachelorette party at a spa resort which offers special customised bridal treatments depending upon the bride to be’s skin type and texture? There’s something totally surreal about dining on food that nourishes the body from within and treating yourself to massages and facials. Our suggestion- pick out an Ayurveda resort for best results.

For the Budget Conscious Bride- Party at Home

bachelorette party

Who says that a bachelorette party can’t be held at home? Get DVD’s of the movies that you girls love, order some delicious food, pop a bottle of champagne and party in your pyjamas. The bride to be will enjoy spending time with her favourite girl gang.

For the Animal Lover- Volunteer at a Vet’s

bachelorette party

A bachelorette party doesn’t have to be just about feasting and partying. If you know that the bride to be adores animals and her idea of the perfect day is to be surrounded by canine friends, then we’re certain that the canine foster home, adoption centre or even the local vet would be more than happy to make her dream come true. There’s nothing like giving back to four legged pals.

For the Fitness Freak- Head to a Wellness Retreat

bachelorette party

A wellness retreat offers more than just yoga classes and relaxation therapy sessions. Wellness retreats also focus on improving physical health and many of them offer fitness boot camps as well as spa treatments in addition. A trip here wouldn’t just make for a fun bachelorette party, but it would also do wonders for the mind and soul.

What can give about-to-marry girls a better perspective if not the views of a real bride who’s just tied the knot? We are kick-starting the week with a vibrant wedding sent in by our reader Divya who had also recently shard her prewedding pics with us. Images courtesy Makker Studio and Nainy Studio.

Engagement

We got engaged on 7th Feb 2017 and enjoyed our courtship period to the fullest. It was Valentine’s Day right after the Roka and I was flooded with roses, gifts and chocolates. Love all around!

Wedding Date

We decided to fix the dates in early winter, when its neither hot nor too cold. So we settled on 20th November. Luckily the weather was amazing all throughout. Winter weddings can be the most colourful ones!

Our Dresses

We went shopping together in Delhi in August and decided to match and colour coordinate our dresses. For the Big Day, I chose dark maroon lehenga from Kamal Bhai Saree Sangam in Chandni Chowk and for Nitish, we chose a sherwani in slight peach colour with dark maroon accessories from Gujral and Sons in Karol Bagh.

maroon wedding dress lehenga

I really loved our engagement outfits! I wore a full flair trail cocktail gown in champagne color again from Kamal Bhai Saree Sangam; it was so graceful! The store owners had apparently got it designed from Dubai!

His engagement suit was again from Gujral and Sons, in dark blue shade. My sangeet dress was from Lucknow from  Calcutta In Style. It was a crop top and skirt and I believe this style will never go out of fashion!

My Jewelry

For the sangeet, we purchased my jewelry from Sardarji Bentex Aminabad Lucknow. They have a really good collection. My bridal jewelry was also from the same place; this time I chose Kundan jewelry with a big matha patti.

My Hair and Makeup

For the sangeet, my MUA was Sneha Charan’s Body Care in Lucknow by artist Ajay. On the engagement and wedding day, I had my hair and makeup done at Empire Luxury Salon in Agra. I got my nails done at Gunjan Nail Art Studio Lucknow.

Our Photographers

Sangeet photography was done by Makker Studio Lucknow while the  wedding photography was by Nainy Studio Agra.

Advice for other Brides-to-be

Weddings require a lot of planning; so utilize your time well and keep planning each month. It helps to keep a target of things to do; I only had 9 months so I made sure I used the time well. An important piece of advice is to shop at your hometown itself. My Delhi experience with Kamal Bhai wise was fantastic but they took a lot of time for the delivery which was nerve wracking to say the least. Also use homemade beauty products for your skin; paste of honey, lemon and coffee etc- they work wonders!

Pros and Cons of Social Media Wedding Sharing

$

Should all couples take the Virushka route and share photos and memories of their wedding on social media? One can’t deny that social media wedding sharing is nothing new but should a couple opt for it or not depends entirely on them. We understand that to share or not to share can be a tricky question to answer so, we thought of listing out the pros and cons of social media wedding sharing with you:

Pros

social media wedding sharing

Multiple shots!

By allowing guests to take candid photos of the ceremony, you get to have multiple shots of each moment from different angles. Don’t be surprised if you find a few awesome shots that the official photographer didn’t capture either! It’s possible that the official shots taken of the ceremony may not be given to you until a few days or weeks after the wedding.

social media wedding sharing

Convenient sharing!

By creating a hashtag on Twitter or Instagram which you can share with friends and family members, you get to create a digital photobook or album of your wedding journey. This is a storehouse of memories that you can download so that copies can be made for your photo album.

By using apps like Facebook Live or Skype, guests who couldn’t be a part of your wedding physically get to watch the entire ceremony as it unfolds.

Cons

social media wedding sharing

Lack of control

When you allow guests to post to your social media hashtag, it automatically removes any control on your part to filter out unappealing photos.

It is possible that the first photos that will be viewed by the world will not be the professional photos taken by the hired photographer.

The Internet and virtual space is forever and unless a guest is willing to delete a certain unflattering photograph, you actually cannot stop people from viewing it.

social media wedding sharing

Strangers can see ’em

It’s possible that strangers who you don’t know or friends of your friends will be able to download such uploaded photos without your consent and even comment on them.

It is also likely that the uploaded candid photos are likely to be of low resolution quality. Unless they were shot on a phone with a special camera and other features.

social media wedding sharing

So is social media wedding sharing good or bad? We leave it to you to decide! Share your thoughts with us and if you have successfully uploaded candid wedding shots of your wedding on Instagram or other social media sites, tell us more about it.

Tips To Send Paperless Invitations

$

Indian weddings are changing; big time. Take the case of wedding invites. Who says wedding invitation cards have to be printed? These days, more couples are opting for email and video invites than ever. Social media is also making it easier to send paperless invitations and collect RSVPs. Many wedding planners and event coordinators also recommend e-invitations to their clients. And it is easy going the paperless invitation way: all you need is a bit of attention to details and the right approach. Let us take a look at ways to rock your paperless invitations:

Advantages of Paperless Invites

Cost

In majority of the cases, paperless invites can work out cheaper. A set of printed 100 invitations can cost around 2000 INR. If you plan on having professionally shot save the date or video invites, then the cost could be comparable. Couples on a strict budget may want to negotiate with their invitation vendors or go the paperless route for significant savings.

Hassle free

Paperless invitations are hassle free. All you need is email addresses of people you want to invite(you do not even need those, if you plan to use Facebook to create events and invite your friends!). No licking postage stamps and writing hundreds of addresses on envelopes. Sending out paper invites can be incredibly time consuming. So another reason to go paperless!

Incorporate your personality and wedding colors in the invites

A bit of creativity is all it takes to incorporate your wedding theme, colours and your personality in your invitations. A cute save-the-date video, the story of how you and your better-half-to-be met or simply a cute picture of the two of you; these are just a few elements to add to your paperless/video invites.

Eco friendly

Think of the thousands of trees we can save if everyone decides to go paperless.

Get RSVPs instantly

Keeping a track of people attending your events will become easy peasy with paperless invitations. Simply direct people to your wedding website, where they can immediately check boxes as to if they are attending or otherwise.

Top Website/apps to Create Free Indian Paperless Invitations

Desi Invite

This wonderful website allows you to upload your photos, change fonts and styles on predesigned customizable templates and immediately download or share the created invites on social media, email etc. Guests are directed to a landing page where they can see event details and immediately RSVP. Apart from weddings, they also have options to invite for puja/rituals, festivals, naming ceremonies, birthdays etc. Desi Invite also offers paid or premium invitation options.

See My Marriage

This is another site that allows free save-the-date non-HD videos. Just upload the photos and other details you wish to include in the invite. Pay if you want high def videos. You can also pay if you want their experts to create the videos.

Hindu Wedding Invitation Cards

This is an application with predefined Hindu wedding invitation templates. Download the app on your Android Smartphone and customize the card which you can send to friends and loved ones.
